ive got a escort van 1800cc diesel, ive just replaced the fuel filter and ive primed it using the push button on side of engine, im getting diesel going in but not coming out of the ever pipe can any one help urgent thanks
in middle of pipe from filter to pump there is a connection point that factory use to suck deisel through on production line,i think the middle pushes out,if you could try putting a suction on it [not with your mouth] you should draw diesel through [i had same fault and it was rust holding valve in filter head open and not allowing it to bleed correctly]

did you push lugs in and remove outlet pipe from filter?if you are not getting fuel from there suspect the hand primer itself,these give a lot of problems,another point to look for is at the back of engine compartment where the two fuel pipes run,check for chaffed pipes there
