Hi , my VL125 is refusing to start using the starting motor, but will bump start. Could this be a problem with the starter relay and if so where is it positioned on the bike?
Some basic checks-does relay click when you push button. this proves power to relay.
use multimeter or bulb and wires to check power coming out of relay to cable to starter.
may have fuse on circuit or faulty internals on relay
check power going to terminal on starter when button pushed.
If power going to starter when button pushed probably starter
