vr 600 vcr?

Good morning
For reason unknown date has set itself to month 03, date 27! I can change it and it says 'OK' but when programme is set to record, it doesn't as month and date have reverted to 30 - 27.
Would be so very grateful for help on this as it is such a brilliant VCR.
