Once my wash and spin cycle has finished the water doesnt drain from the washing machine, leaving my washing in a 2inch puddle! it happens even if i ony have a few small items in the machine
does anyone know why this is? or how to stop the problem?

It sounds like a blockage, remove and clean the filter ( a lot of machines have these but some dont, you dont specify the make - model ect ). If that fails check the pump and the hoses leading to and from it.
