I have same problem removed brushes to check them all Ok. Put machine trough a cycle ran fine till spin then did it again. Have checked all looms all ok.

check wireing loom for any wires that have rubbed against carcase especially the loom to the motor ,if all look ok, disconnect power from motor,.start machine ,.if machine comes to life ie starts to fill and doesn't trip rcd then you will need to check motor brushes but you may find you will need a replacement motor.
