How to fix central locking problem?

I have a Vauxhall astra H series (55 plate)
I can lock the car using the remote fob but cannot open the doors remotely (Have to use the key in the lock).
Have tried to sync the key but made no difference.
When I open the door using the key, all doors and boot open.
Any ideas please
