how to repair the cord plug-in ?

I have a Sun beam 1-7a mixmaster that we are having trouble with the cord plug in . Ichecked the cord and it appears to be ok. When you put the cord into the motor housing, you usually have to wiggle the cord to get it to work . How do you disassemble the motor housing to check to see if a wire is loose or the plug in neeeds replaced? I took the 2 screws off the top under the handle and i dont see any more screws that might be holding it together. Thanks, Jim J.
