f23 problem on bosch was28440au?

Laundry flooded with water going into bottom of machine.
When starting to was on cotton eco, F23 came up.
We tipped machine to get the water out of the bottom.
The machine is now working.
Should i get the bottom plate off so it can dry completely, incase any water left causes rust on the bottom.
