Mend Mercedes-Benz 110CDi Diesel Ignition Mercedes

Vito van cuts out?

My vito (110CDi 2001 100k miles) cuts out as if the ignition has been turned off, i then turn off and back on again and it bumps starts itself every time. This used to happen with months in between but now its every time i use it within 1/2 mile of starting off.
Any clues would be appreciated

check all electrical plugs are fully connected at the fuse box (under steering wheel). If so then would suspect ignition switch itself to be faulty. I suspect this because i've had a couple in workshope in last 6 months with same problem. Not to expensive if you go to a merc commercials dealer or online to eurocarparts.
