My original emailer gave up the ghost with no backlight-not able to see any of my address book.I have replaced with NEW one ex ebay BUT all attempts to register/replace my old registration have failed and no tel numbers are answered.
All I want is v.useful address book and caller display. After 10 years I am lost without my emailer usefulness. Is there anyway I can somehow get the phone to connect with my BT line as the emailer set up does not allow telcalls-in or out-unless I can register for emails- i was happy(?) to have the weekly costly charge for the tel benefit. Is there anyone that can suggest ways of overcoming the email connection problem i.e.getting the phone working without email!
i have the same problem, that i only want to use it as a phone.
has anyone found an answer yet ?? i would have thought a good phone engineer would be able to rewire it !

The amstrad emailer numbers were discontinued in 2011. Unless the units got the software download beforehand they are now pretty pieces of useless junk

I am also in exactly the same situation. Both green and red lights flash alternately. The unit is dead. Feel like contacting Alan Sugar directly just to see what the response is!!
