hotpoint motor not running?

Hi. We have a hotpoint wm 24, and the motor wont run at all. It fills with water, clicks through any of the cycles and empties as normal. Have changed the carbon brushes for new ones but still no movement of the motor. Before i changed the brushes it blew the mains fuse at the meter twice, and in the plug once. that is fine now, but still wont move.
wondered if the motor is compleatly bust and beyond repair, or is there hope.
