How to fix/replace my mobiliser button thing?

Hi, i have a 97 also an is sitting waiting cause im totally clueless. The car itself is fine but the buttun thing you have with the set of keys doesnt seem to be working at all, i replaced the batterys but no thats not it. Can some please help me out or tell me where i can go??
