Mend Zanussi Check Filter

E21 Fault in a Zanussi ZWG1140?

Hey there, i have the E21 fault so i decided to check the filter in the bottom right however once i unscrewed the cap expecting to pull out in full the filter all i got off was the cap, with the filter still inside loose and moveable but with no way of pulling it out further. Where am i going wrong?

you haven't been pulling the filter out regular and it is now stuck in the filter housing body.you have to push/pull filter as best you can and hope it comes loose.I have had to break them out of the housing and fit a new one as they are so badly full of crap/bra wires.answer is to check regular once sorted
