First, prise off the carpet control knob.
Now on the upper side of the casing, at the rear, above the back of each wheel, there's a hole. At the bottom is a screw. Remove each screw with a medium Philips screwdriver. The whole hood assembly then comes free (it clips at the front). Voilà!
