Stannah 420 2nd Led?

Can someone tell me what the 2nd LED from the left side of the PCB is for?
A friend of mines stairlift will only move a short distance, then this 2nd light is illuminated and it will not move further without turning the power off/on. then the same thing happens. The longer it is left, the further distance it travels, could this be a battery problem?

Hi Mark,
If you fixed it can you add what you did to resolve the issue. We have the same problem and it is NOT the batteries as we have new ones and it still has the same fault.
