why does it take an hour to wash clothes in my fisher paykel gwl 11 washer?

You answered your own question. If the water is only dribbling in very slowly then it will obviously take a long time to fill. Fix the water in fault. Remove hose from back of machine & point it in to the sink. Turn tap on & confirm there is good water flow. Then check the filter in the back of the inlet valve is not blocked. Put hose back on to inlet & try filling. If still very slow then replace the inlet valve with a new one.
