how 2 start my mini moto?

hi , i have recently bought a mini moto and would like 2 know which way the knob should be for the petrol 2 be on . the knob turns in a 360 motion and any direction ?

usually straight is off and up and down is on,but simply pull the hose off the carb and see what position does what. ok.
