How can I fix my AEG dishwasher Model 5040-D?

yes i have done some research mainly on this site and i did the following to my machine.
1. disconnected power at plug, water at tap, and waste at u bend.
2. pulled machine out and layed it on its side on some towels and let residual water exit.
3. after about half hour stood machine upright and reconnected.
its now going fine.
last time this happened i didn't use it for about 10 days and again it worked fine.
I think i know what happens but if you look up on this site old AEG dishwasher questions you can find out whats happens.

haven't got an answer but my aeg favorit 6040 is doing the same thing. Pump on all the time even when machine is turned off, have to turn it off from the wall switch. If i get an answer i'll let you know
