what is wrong with my hotpoint wd420?

My washer is doing the actual wash cycle but when it gets to final spin it spits water out everywhere from the softner drawer and somewhere near the top, then it stops, full of water and doesnt drain. Also the door locked light is flickering on and off and only comes on when i touch the light on the front panel. Its only just over a year old hence just out of warranty, bl**dy typical. Whats wrong?
