Mend Dell Inspiron 8500

How can I tighten my screen lid on Dell Inspiron 8500?

I have a Inspiron 8500, The Lid/screen if open more than 90 degrees will start pulling at the hinge area. Is there a way to tighten this. It moves on its own. I have had the machine for several years so it is beyond the warrenty.

Most definately beyond warranty, and there isn't much you can do to help the looseness. Perhaps you could take it to a PC shop and ask them to take a look.
