How can i fix my tredex tx3050e dvd player?

Check the little rubber band that rotates the gear for the disc tray. Mine was lose and it would take a DVD and just sit there and buzz with "load" on the faceplate. Upon inspection I seen that the rubber band would not rotate after the DVD was inserted and therefore couldn't lock the DVD drive up into place. The motor that rotates the rubber band has to have enough force to do 2 jobs. Clean the rubber band, the drive gear and the idler gear off, that's how I fixed mine.

The capacitor (68 uF, 400V, 105 deg C) may be about ready to go out and should be replaced with a new one. It is the black cylindrical capacitor about 1.25 in. high and 3/4 in. diameter on the board.
