high emissions?

my co2 level is reading to high on the second fast idle test on the emissions test for the mot on my hyundai accent 1341cc n reg

In cases like these,the cheapest option is to change the oil & filter.air filter,plugs & add a bottle of injector cleaner to a full tank of petrol and drive a considerable distance preferably on the motorway. This should probably cure it,if not the catalsytic convertor needs to be changed.
