How can I fix my Hotpoint TDC62?

I have a Hotpoint Ultima TDC62 Condensor which seems to be giving out no heat.

Im taking an uneducated guess its either the thermostat or element but i have no idea on how to check which. Any help / advice would be much appreciated.

Unscrew the panel on the back. There are two trip components. Disconnect and remove the one with a green spot on it (left side?). If the domed front bit is curved inwards, it has tripped and must be replaced. Its usually due to overfilling or not allowing time to cool between loads. I think they're about £20.00
