Have a potterton ep2000, it delivers hot water to the central heating but there is no hot water, is the battery backup for the hot water or is it for power cuts. this seems to be very strange what can i do
I have a Potterton Profile 50 and I cant get hot water. The Boiler turns on OK for Central Heating (see flame) but not hot water. It is a two valve system next to hot water tank and the Temperature valve on the tank is closed requesting hot water. Switch on the wall for Hot water is passing 240V to Temp valve on tank OK. Any ideas.

You need to check your hot water tank to see if you have one valve with 3 pipes connected, or 2 separate valves, each with 2 pipes, these will be just past the pump.
If you have one valve I suspect this is stuck, if however you have 2 valves it is possible that the motor in the valve for hot water needs replacing.
the battery is to keep the memory in the timer in the event of power fail.
