Security system from ADT was installed in my house by previous owner and he did not know the code. Now there is no service from the ADT, but I am intrested, if I can just use this system as a alam on without paying any service fee to ADT. Is there any way to reset the code.
Hi can anyone help just moved house and I don't have code for alarm it's a honeywell galaxy 2-12 alarm how do you fit new code don't have any codes whatsoever for alarm thanks

I found that you have to disconnect the AC supply (plugged into wall) and also one of the leads going to the battery in the alarm center (usually in a box in a closet). Once you do this the alarm system will be completely shut down. Plug back the AC supply into wall then connect lead back to battery. You have 5o sec to press the [*] and [#] buttons simultaneously on the keypad you use to set the alarm. This should put the system into programming mode. Next press [*] then [2] then [0]. After that press the 4 digits you ewant for your code. You shou;d hear some sort of beep to let you know it has been set. From there press * then 9 then another 9 to exit the programming mode and start using your alarm. This is for an Ademco Via30 installed by ADT. Hope this helps!!!
