The on/off button on my vacuum stopped working. It is stuck in the on position. How do I get into the canister and replace this or would it be a job for the service center? I would like to do it myself if possible. Thank you for your time.
Oh please you can purchase a switch on line or go to e-bay and do like I have and purchase a switch or a vacuum and replace it your self. It's a drop in the bucket to fix it and doesn't require a service center,,, that is unless you want to spend $80-$100 for them to do it.

It is a job for the service center you have to break the case apart to replace the switch and Electrolux will not sell electrical items to the public. for safety reasons

My on and off switch just went as well. When I took it apart I found that the blue button had actually chipped off inside which is what was causing it to not switch. To determine what is the cause, you'll want to take the canister apart and see if you can switch it manually. Good luck!
