My Toro mower with Tecumseh motor starts but quickly dies?
I can get the mowere to start but it quickly dies. I cannot get the buterfly cholke plate to stay open, If I physically keep it open it will run like a banshee. Once the lever that attaches to the plate is released the motor throttles down and dies. I hve totally cleaned the carb, replaced the plug and flywheel key. any help appreciated. With all the rain, grass is now about 9 " high
The brass threaded jet holding the sediment bowl in place, has a tiny hole in it the size of a small wire. This hole is plugged and needs to be cleaned out. (About half way up the side of the jet.)
