Hi Andrew - it sounds like the FFD or Flame Failure Device that needs replacing, they normally cost approx £50 - £80 from an Appliance Parts Place, I recommend GAS @ Preston - 01772 702755, then you will need a Corgi Reg Engineer to actually fit the part
