why wont my 50cc peugeot speedfight 2 start?

oil light came on so i topped it up with a little oil i had left and oil light went out but oil was probably near minimum. went out on it and was doing about 45mph and it died. wouldn`t turn over again and kick start feels jammed as it wont move. took head off engine and pressing really hard on kick start a few times moved the piston down but kick start has barely any movement at all. Has it seized and if so, what part of the engine seizes so i know what to replace.

Hi my bike just stopped firing up its turning over but just won't start got a new spark plug that never helped gt fuel goin to the carb it just won't fire up any ideas thanks.

mate can tell you that you have blown your kit (piston and piston barral) and you may have damaged your carb this happend to me a couple months back on my speedfight 50 lc

My mates got a 100cc speedfighter 2 but it was making a grindin noise from side casin, so he took it off n found it was the cog for the kick start so he took it out to use the electric start but its not starting now

aye fellas, Ryan from Perth, Australia. i got a 100cc speedfight i have shreaded my teeth on my variator kick start from kickstarting it to much, i have ordered new KICKSTART PINION SHAFT where would i get the little key that goes on the variator?

I had this problem with my daughters Speedfight. It snapped twice, one of them being a new belt. Apparently it was something to do with a bar in the clutch which engages the drive belt being slightly bent. I can't remember the specifics exactly as it was nearly a year ago. It was a free fix for me, so I don't know if it was an expensive job or not, I wouldn't assume it to be hugely expensive as I had the bike back in a couple of hours.

My belt keeps snapping on my p,speedfighter 2 x team had a new 1 on 3 times then it snappes around 5mins of ridding it ???

hi m8 ino this may sound stupid but it works take out your spark splug pour some coke(pop) down the head and leave it other night i was told to do that and it worked but my speddfight stll wont start hope this helps

yer, your drive belt has snapped.
take of the engine casing and you will see. a new drive belt is about £15.

i just got a rebuild new piston the works was going in forth gear and back wheel locked up and now i cant kick start thr kick start is jammed i have just got the bike back from shop they said i have run in the new parts and now this sh*t happens what is the go now!!!!!

lol u shouldnt do any of them things ive had my bike for like 7mouths and i no everything about it. samething happened to me i just checked the belt, sparkplug,cluch i found out that the cluch was burned out. and also if the back wheel locks up if mean it has buckled or the brake has gone locks when the bike is getting to hot.

sound like the belt is nearly SNAPED im not shure but i think the kickstart turns the belt witch turnes the engine and if the belts slipping like a bitch then the kick strat wont turn over the engine enuff but might move a bit ( i am not 100% shure but thats my guss mine is in peaces right now in my workshop with the same problem)

okm8 take the enginoff and dunk it in a buckit of disel m8 sam happend to me it will unsice and hopeful be better if u get her going use 100% fully sinfet oil

speedfight 2 50cc will not start
was riding it and it was fine, it started to get harder to start taking a few kicks, i got it home but when i tried starting it again it would not start.
there is fuel getting to the carb and there is a spark, surely spark + fuel = GO but this is not the case, any ideas please help.

unlucky m8 sounds like what happend to me...i put sum cheap oil in mine and wanted to w8 till it was all gone to put expensive oil in. i wated till the oil was empty and i did around 2 miles with no oil then my back wheel just locked up my bike wouldnt move or start. i had to get a complete engine rebuild which cost my mum around £400 with some other things added in. im sorry m8 but if its siezed ur gonna need a new engine sorry :(

take off side engine cover kick start side gearing probably stuck or spring broken on return drive gear/starter motor jammed in to start gear cog just fixed my lads 04 speedfght 2

Thanks to both of you. i found the problem and it was a big relief. the drive belt had snapped and wrapped around the drive gear which was stopping anything from moving. removing the shredded belt freed everything up.

sounds like you may hve jammed the variator or as you said may be seized but dont get a rebore cost too much and will keep seizing buy a new head http://www.adrenalin-pedstop.co.uk/p/SCOOTER-SPARES---PEUGEOT-50cc--1173.aspx thats the standard head they allso doo the liquid cooled may be a little dearer

sounds like it is there any scoring on the barrel may need rebore try take barrel of first see if rings have gone on piston if licky might get away with new rings
