My engine electronics light stays on whilst the engine running. (The car with the spanner through it) the car seems to run ok though? I have turned the engine off and on again to try and see if the fault resets itself like the owners manual sugests but no change.

Its telling you the car is due for a service and wont go out until you do or you reset it . If i remember right you have to turn the ignition key to position 2 with the mile reset button pressed to reset it or some combination like that.
