How do i replace the socket of a standard UK table lamp?

How do i replace and rewire the socket of a table lamp according to the UK cable colours. I'm not sure on what wires connect to which screw connection on the new socket?

Heres a little tip for plug tops (think you mean this)
BRown = bottom right = Live fused (BR bottom right, get it)

BLue = bottom left = neutral

Green and Yellow = Earth

Hope this helps

Brown to one of the live terminals. Blue to the other. If it or the lamp are metal connect yellow/green to the earth screw on it.

If this does not make sense then you are not competent to do this and should have it done by someone who is.
