when my saw runs out of gas and I refill it, I can not start the saw unless I let it cool off and remove the spark plug and use starter fluid. Then it fires up right away. The choke does seem to work. I did remove the carb and clean it up. I also messed with the adjustment screws. Anyone care to offer some help?
Check the coupling between the carburetor and engine--cracks or holes? You may also need to install a rebuild kit in the carburetor. Does the fuel line from the tank show any signs of cracking? Worn crankshaft seals can also be a problem as well as worn piston and/or rings.
