I removed a carpet which had an alarm cable underneath I did nothing to the cable but the alarm went off now the hammer symbol is on red the system is not working how do I reset it, nothing works on the key board ie I have put 1234 and still nothing please help
The hammer symbol indicates a system tamper. Although you may feel you did nothing to the cable you have obviously damaged the cable or have pulled it probably breaking the tamper circuit. is there a door contact nearby where you could have dislodged the cable? needs a bit more investigation by you before we can assist further outside we would just be guessing!
