LYNX 2 LOUD SQEAL LIKE THE PUMP BUT COMING FROM INSIDE WERE BURNER?

write then thanks everyone for your help,put my potterton boiler back together after blowing it out oiling and replacing all washers stripped diaphrapm changed heat exchanger but looked worst than the original so wire brushed the original and blow it out with my compressor, oiled fan spun it around with force of air blower jet oiled it fine although a little noise from the burner compartment ticking type.when i fired it up again no leaks reset 1.5 bar in the red expansion tank and top up 2.5 bar on the gauge only to bleed the furthest rad as it had air in it then top up a little more to 1.5 sounds fine although did not fire up on highest flame only low flame, so moved a diode on the modulater board put it back and cured that problem sent 4 boards off to a electronics company to get them checked and resoldered i shall replace them as this seems to be the main problem with my boiler which is the first lynx and not the no2 as it is been in since 1988 some 19 yrs old , not bad then but may not be economical now so might put in a vailiant 31/37condensor for better flow rate also may need a new div/valve if ones available cheap, cheers to u all dully1957.

thinking back before this noise coming from the burner conpartment . one of the smaller pcb board was arcing loudly like it was shorting out across the board has that any connection with the loud noise comming from the burner compartment help please anyone im putting back together now all cleaned up might change that modulater board see if it cures the noise and cut out problem.

thanyou bert, but i stripped the fan and housing and all works well when i spin it no play in it and no odd sounds,heat exchanger on the diverter 15ml side leaking a bit ,did these washers and replaced the diaphram only in the d/valve 2yrs ago, may put another diaphram in as hot water indicator does,nt rise when we have v/cold weather it stays on the lowest so my thermostatic fed shower is ok but not hot enough,have to run the basin tap slightly,i will just strip it down blow it out with the compressor oil it up and hopefully it,ll work again if you can think of anything let us know please.

If you are a UK resident, you should be aware that it is illegal to alter/install/modify/open any gas pipe unless you are a qualified ( eg.CORGI engineer)
It could be the fan making the noise you describe.
