I have a Kenmore series 90 heavy duty drier, after it is started it shuts of after 10-15 minutes and contiues this start stop routine till clothes are done. It's hot inside so i know it is drying the clothes , but it just will not stay on.???
This sounds like a motor problem. It sounds like the motor is overworking and kicking off on its overload switch. Once the motor cools down it will start back up again for a short time if the start button is pressed. Only thing to look for is dust around the motor. Open the dryer and make sure the vents on the motor are clear. More than likely though, time for a motor.
