How can I fix my Toshiba, Model number, PS460A-09DZX?

I was messing about with passwords and have locked myself out of my laptop by setting a password that I can't remember, so it means I can switch computer on and it asks for the password before going into windows

The only way to really get around this is to remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard. to do this you would need to take apart the laptop (all of the underneath anyway) and look for a cell type battery. Hopefully yours will be in a case rather than one that has been soldered on. Use anything that wont create a short circuit to the CMOS battery ie nothing metal and leave off for about 30 seconds to a minute. Then put it back in, this should then restore all default factory settings to the BIOS.
