When you turn the appliance on, after it has filled up, can you hear the 'whirring' of the motor? If you can your belt may have come off. If you cant, the jumping about caused by overloading may have pulled the power plug (7wires attatched) out of the motor.
Have a look and let me know.
TURN OFF THE POWER FIRST!!!
