PIAGGIO ZIP SP 50CC LIQ COOLED HELP?

HI THANKS FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION,I HAVE TRYED WHAT YOU SAID BUT STILL NO GO,I HAVE TRYED ANOTHER CARB AND IT`S THE SAME ANY GOT ANY OTHER IDEAS TO WHAT IT COULD BE,I HAVE PUT NEW PISTON AND RINGS CHANGED THE REED VALVE THANKS,

James, it sounds as if you have a carburettor fault, if I read your question correctly. By putting the air filter down the tube of the filter box you are richening the mixture by effectively reducing the air supply - choking it, in fact. You'll need to strip the carb. down and clean it out because I think you have a partially blocked jet in there somewhere. Also make sure the carb top is tight and the needle is set in its middle groove position. Also make sure the coil connections are on the right way round, if they've been adrift.
