Just looking online myself as I have the same problem,there are a lot of comments that a component in the power supply is the cause!!! replace Ic001 STRG6353 regulator. I am going to have a go at £12.00 it is cheaper than £150 at a repair place.

sounds like you have a incompatible disc ie X16?? need to get the disc out manually
