How do I use dishwasher tablets in a Dishlex Global 450 dishwasher?

I have a Dishlex Global 450 (BDX450ISB) dishwasher with a powder dispenser. The dispnser is divided into appox 1/3 and 2/3 sections. What can I do to use dishwasher tablets in this machine?
(If I cut out the divider within the powder dispenser will the dispenser still work if I return to using powdered detergent)?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

we just put the tablet into the dishwasher, not in the dispenser at all. Seems to work just fine.

do i need to use special tablets for a hoovercrytaljet slimline dishwasher.only my dishwasher doesnt seem to be working with the tablets ive got now.the tablet is still left in the pocket on the inside of the dishwasher.
