my 1.6 astra sports jerks when going down the hill. i have changed the lambda sensor, and is still doing that. it is acceralting fine but`the moment`i go down the hill it jerks.
also when in an idle state it also jerks. Could this be the egr valve??

take off the air box and its between the carb and the rocker cover with 2 torque bolts going into thee inlet manifold with a plug connector plugged into the top.

If your car is misfiring with low revs it could be the spark plugs or indeed the EGR valve. Change the plugs first and then see. To change an EGR valve it is very easy just remove two star bolts and try to clean it otherwise buy a new one from internet http://www.vauxcentre.co.uk/index.php?product_id=482030&option=Prod_detail
