hi coming out of my ceiling are 3 red,3 black and a earth i have a new fitting to go up which has 3 wires in a block live, earth and neutral how do the wires from the ceiling fit to this block when there are only 3 holes to place the wires
This is called a Loop-in circuit. One of the wires should have a sleeve on it to indicate that it is a phase live that comes from the wall switch. If not I reckon you need an electrician to find out which wire is which. Unless you know how to use a multimeter on a live circuit.
