How can I fix my Hotpoint Mistral Plus 8596 fridge freezer?

It is displaying error code E8 which means there is an Evaporator Thermistor short circuit.

I have bought the part but would like guidance on how to fit it e.g where is it located in the fridge/how do I get to it?

Hi we had the same problem, if the end took the front cover off cleaned all the dust out of the cooler. We then turned the whole freezer upside down, left it for a few hours. Turned it on for 1 min. Then switched it off. Turned the freezer the right way up left for 24hrs then turned it back on. That was 6 months ago still working now.. was shown how to do this with my caravan freezer.. GOOD LUCK... Not a guarantee but it may work as it did for me

my top half of my fridge is not cooling, whenever i try to change the temperature and save it, nothing happens!
what do i do to keep the temperature at the level which i choose. the freezer section (bottom half) seems to be ok!
