The convection oven was sparking as it was preheating and now all it does is blow cold air. I'm guessing the motor is burned out. I estimate age of the unit to be 20+ years old. Is there anyone in the Boston area that repairs this brand? Is it worth repairing?
The problem is not with your motor because it is still working and blowing. The problem is most likely with the heating element and or the wireing connected to the circular element. I have replaced my element before. No big deal. The sparking is what concerns me. An inspection of the wireing will determine weather or not to replace or repair the wireing. A resistant check will tell you if the element is any good.
