I have the same problem. Olympus agent locally says the whole DC/DC unit needs replaced, total cost about £110 (GBP). I see on another website that several people have had this problem and that it is some kind of known bug in this model. i am not best pleased as this was a special birthday present from my husband a couple of years ago and i do not want to make him sad by having to tell him it doesnt work now and will cost more than a new camera to fix.
The folks on the other website said they had had some luck in getting it to revive by repeatedly opening the front and pressing the button as if taking pix. i dont yet know if that works. but clearly this model sucks and Olympus are making a bomb out of repairing them
