AEG 60870 dishwasher water not heating?

Same problem. Gonna replace the heater element untl I read ck advive. Took out pcb and there the back of the relay trackjoint was burnt out. Cleaned it up ,resoldered and now working again. I guess it will go again , but I know to get a new board then.

I originally posted the question. I removed both PCBs (careful not break any plastic tabs) and checked the tracks... no burn outs. Put them all back in. Could not figure out what was wrong so before chucking it away I thought I would give it one more try. Switched it on - got the ".30" leak code - tipped the machine on its side to empty water. Switched on again and all working fine and water heating properly and it is drying. Dunno what it was - possibly loose connection as the PCBs sit in the door and they get some banging around? Anyway it is works now so can't complain. Thanks for the tips CK.

Think its the input one.normally the heater output comes from the pcb that has the program selector buttons.before you buy a new one take the old one off.disconnect the cables.photo them so you know where they go and which way up they connect to the pcb.now split the plastic housing apart and look at the pcb tracks around the relay (black inch sized box).sometimes they have bad joints or a track has fused and a repair can be done if you have a soldering iron.hope this helps
