It is the cat converter, just turn it off and on and it will sort it, it is a known fault.

the best solution for this problem is to have a diagnostic check,
most of the time it will show a fault code/codes most garages can do this check and this should show the fault in my experience its the best and cheapest place to start.

Hi Christine, the light means that the engine fuel injection computer has detected a fault and you are noticing it in the missfire, you need to get the car connected up to a diagnostic fault reader soon before possible engine damage occurs, the main dealer can do this but is likely to charge £80+ you might find a local exhaust garage will offer diagnostic readings for around £30
