Mend Peugeot 106 K Reg Wont Start

peugeot 106 (K Reg) won't start?

My K Reg (1992 - 1993) Peugeot 106 won't start when I turn the key. I hear a clicking sound as if a relay is trrying to latch when I turn the ignition, but as soon as that happens, all the dash board/ warning lights go off (turn off). The engine doesn't even turn. Is this something I can easily repair or do I need to take it to a garage?

This will happen if the battery is flat,jump start it,if that doesn't work you may have a loose or dirty connection on the battery leads,take them off and clean them especially the earth lead to the body,then check the connection to the starter motor,the clicking sound is probably the starter solenoid trying to connect but hasn't enough power to it.If you push start it and it starts it is one of the above.
