Just now I stepped on the power cord for my 19 year old Hoover Elite 350. A "POP!" was heard, like a fuse had been blown. Now the vacuum will not turn on, though a fan plugged into the same outlet works just fine. I plugged the Hoover into another outlet, hoping against hope that that was the problem - no dice.
Is there a fuse in this old vacuum that I can change?
does anyone know where I can buy the belt for this elite 350? what the part number is?

surely the vacuum has a (fuse in the plug) that you plug into the wall. Stepping on the flex has strained the wires in the plug possibly pulling one out allowing to touch another usually earth/live which BLOWS THE FUSE to PROTECT the USER.
