We had an electricity outage for a brief second which seems to have taken out our DVD/VHS combo player, as well as our stereo receiver. The attached components (TV, and cassette/CD players) are fine. Are these a lost cause is there hope?
It could be that the internal fuse has operated as a result of the surge. Disconnect from the electrical supply and open them up to see if you can locate and test the fuses on the powersupply side of the equipment.
